What an appropriate message for us to hear during these times of social distancing and not being with one another. It can be hard when we aren’t able to see “our people”… And yet, we know that we can all still be connected.

Can you remember how it felt to first really and truly see that Christ is alive? Have you encountered him in a way in which your heart was sure that the stories were true about him? For many of us, these moments of revelation are few in our lives, but they still hold power.

The words of this hymn and its verses… have the power to shift our perspective (even for a moment) away from the dark, cold, and never-ending reality right in front of us, to the new and green spark of life that hints at change to come.
