Join us for the Beloved Community Book Club, a space for thoughtful conversation, learning, and building community through the power of books. Together, we'll explore stories and ideas that invite us to reflect more deeply on faith, justice, compassion, and the world around us.
You don't have to attend every meeting to participate. We encourage you to choose the book(s) that resonate most with you, or, if you're feeling ambitious, read all four and join us for every discussion! Whichever you choose, please give yourself enough time to read the book and come prepared to share in the conversation on the scheduled discussion date.
The book club will meet on the second Saturday of each month from 10AM–12PM in the Church Parlor. We will be reading the following books:
November 14
Alice Walker, We Are the Ones We Have Been Waiting For: Inner Light in a Time of Darkness (2021) (273 pages) (https://a.co/d/0a1Xvtvo)
December 12
Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., The Trumpet of Conscience (speeches and sermons from 1967-1968) (2010) (96 pages) (https://a.co/d/0dxPcpBF)
