January 2026

February 2026

  • February 1, 1:00-2:00 pm: Studio Class

  • February 15-22: Winter break (no regular lessons)

  • February 21, 1:00-3:00 pm: Songwriting from Scratch Workshop with Peyman Salimi

    • This workshop is designed for middle and high school students (grades 6-12). Starting from a simple hummed or sung melody, students will learn how songs are built step by step, from the first idea to a finished track. We’ll explore songwriting, basic arrangement, and music production using accessible tools, with a strong focus on creativity, listening, and personal expression. The goal is to show students that if they have an idea, then they already have what they need to start writing music. No prior musical background required.

  • February 28, 10:30-12:00 pm: DFAA Concert Series Presents: Clare Longendyke Recital & Masterclass

March 2026

  • March 7, 1:00-2:00 pm: Studio Class

April 2026

  • April 4, 1:00-2:00 pm: Studio Class

  • April 5-11: Spring break (no regular lessons)

  • April 18 (time TBD): Student Recitals

    • Preferred recital date for the following studio(s): Margerum

May 2026

  • May 3, 2:00 pm: DFAA Concert Series Presents: AnnaLauren Kelly, Soprano & Farris Goodrum, Piano

  • May 17, 1:00-2:00 pm: Studio Class

  • May 24-30: Makeup Lessons Week

    • All students will receive 18 lessons over the course of the 19-week semester. The final week of May will be used for end-of-semester makeup lessons only (no regular lessons), to be scheduled between the instructor and the student.

  • May 30 (time TBD): Student Recitals
