Power has never been a prerequisite for change. Hope and a belief that God’s world should be better are, but not power.

Doing what it takes to stay safe and to keep others safe can be painful. Your relatives may not understand or agree with you either, which complicates the situation even more, but I encourage you to do what you believe is right and to communicate these plans with love and understanding.

God of all creation, we lift our spirits to you on this day. As we look around, we see so much beauty and color; the earth is filled with the incredible artwork of your hands and we can see your imagination scattered on every tree and every leaf.

Scripture declares the seemingly randomness of our creation is made most meaningful by the “steadfast love of the Lord that is from everlasting to everlasting.”

The times we live in right now don’t exactly lend themselves to overflowing love. Knowledge and full insight also feel like they are in very short supply. Thankfully, you and I can do something to bring about positive change.

The last week of October was the end of my time at the e-learning center, and it was so hard to say goodbye to the kids, there were several lessons they taught me as well, and I want to share those with you.
