Welcome to First Camp!
First Camp which includes an after school program and a summer program is a ministry of First Baptist Decatur. For over thirty years we have been committed to furnishing quality care for elementary aged children in the Decatur area. Our goal is to provide the students in our care with a safe, healthy, and educational environment. First Camp is licensed by Bright from the Start, an agency of the State of Georgia. First Camp is divided into two programs, First Camp After School during the school year and Summer Camp during the summer. Registration for the 2015 Summer Camp and the 2015-16 After School will start in mid January 2015.
First Camp Registration Now Open
Registration is now open for First Camp 2017 Summer Sessions and 2017-18 After School Care. First Camp is a ministry of FBC Decatur and serves children who have completed kindergarten through 5th grade. Contact the camp office at email@example.com or come by 2:00-6:00 p.m. weekdays.
First Camp is located in the Activities Building (behind Education Building/near ball field).

Our summer camp offers two different rates for the summer: A full 5 day rate and a 4 day rate that does not include the field trip day. Please check our registration site at camperregsecure.com/fbcdsc for prices and specific information about each week of camp.
Our registration is all online at the above address. Registration for summer requires a deposit at time of registration and the full amount will be withdrawn on the Monday camp begins.

First Camp Director
Claire Kermitz Chinn
Claire Kermitz Chinn is our First Camp Director (FBCD’s after-school and summer camp ministry).
Claire graduated with a Master of Divinity degree from McAfee School of Theology in 2015. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Family and Child Science with a minor in Psychology from Florida State University.
Prior to coming to First Camp, Claire served in two churches as a minister to children, and worked with other non-profits in the area of children’s services. She also had “camp” experience for several years with a program in Miami, Florida—Touching Miami with Love. Her work involved disadvantaged families with children. She also served as the director of that program.
