HOW TO WELCOME THE STRANGER

Do you want to learn more about the renewal of FBC Decatur's Refugee Ministry and how you can help immigrants in our local community?

Then you are invited to join us to learn more about what the Bible says about welcoming the stranger, our church's historical response to immigrants, immediate and long-term opportunities for involvement, a friendly Q&A session, and more.

BACKGROUND

There has been a small team from FBCD meeting regularly over the past few months, coordinating with Clarkston city officials, meeting with multiple agencies, and strategizing the best path forward for our church's involvement in this area of ministry to those in our community.

WHAT TO EXPECT

We have designed this evening for those interested in learning more about specific steps they can take to be the hands and feet of Jesus to those resettling in the area, whether through donation drives, family sponsorships, English tutoring lessons, housing assistance, transportation help, and more.

We're excited to share our progress with you and our vision for moving forward! No matter the depth of your interest or involvement, we invite you to join us!
