Pilgrims invitation to 9 week study on the dramatic story of the last week of Jesus' life
For the Lenten season the Pilgrims class will host a 9-week study series on the dramatic story of the last week of Jesus' life. Primary scripture will be the Gospel of Mark, chapters 11-16. These chapters cover the eight days from the arrival in Jerusalem on "Palm" Sunday, through the Temple disturbance, debates with religious officials, the last meal on Passover evening, the Friday execution, and "Easter" Sunday.
The schedule will focus on one of these days each week, beginning on Sunday morning, February 19, and concluding on Easter Sunday, April 16. The supplemental reading text will be The Last Week (2006, Borg & Crossan).
The class meets 10:00-11:00 a.m. each Sunday morning in S-304 (Sanctuary Bldg, third floor). Anyone is invited to join for this study. Just show up if you'd like, or for more information contact Don Hammonds (email@example.com) or Mickey Goodson (firstname.lastname@example.org).
