FIRST CAMP After School

The After School program for kindergarten through fifth grade follows Decatur City School System, starting the first day of classes through the last day of classes according to the yearly calendar.  Families may enroll their children for 2, 3, or 5 days a week. We drive church vans to various schools in the Decatur system and pick up students at the end of the school day.  Upon return to the church activities building, the children store their bookbags, etc. in their own locker and enjoy a nutritious snack. Various activities are scheduled during the afternoon  including free play, organized games, crafts, and homework. Most of these activities will be divided into age groups to ensure the safety of our younger campers.

Weekdays
2:30–6:00 p.m.

Full Day Camp

When the Decatur City School System is closed, First Camp After School will often provide a full day camp. The camp is open from 7:30 a.m.-6:00 p.m. and  is a separate fee. Children are required to bring their own lunches, but will be provided a morning and afternoon snack. Occasionally a field trip will be included in the day, depending on the extent of time off from school. All full day camps are filled on a first come basis and require full tuition payment before a child can be enrolled. These are staffed by First Camp After School counselors.

Weekdays
7:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m.

PNO—Parents night out

Date night? Peace and quite shopping? Getting ready for a holiday? Whatever the reason, PNO is a fun time for children while the parents have some "ME" time. Four or five times a year First Camp After School will promote a Parents Night Out, usually a Friday night, from 6:00–9:30 p.m.  Themes for the nights include High Seas Adventure, Super Heroes, and Winter Holidays. Take home crafts, a movie, and thematic games may be part of the activities for the night. Supper will be provided along with a snack. All PNO are filled on a first come basis and are staffed by First Camp After School counselors.

Night time event (usually Friday nights)
6:00–9:30 p.m.

Saturday Hangout

Similar to PNO, Saturday Hangouts are held about four times a year.  Starting at 10:00 a.m. and ending at 2:00 p.m., the Hangouts have various themes including Disney Characters, Magic the Gathering, and Pokémon. Snacks and lunch are included in the day. All Saturday Hangouts are filled on a first come basis and are staffed by First Camp After School counselors.

Saturdays
10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.

FIRST CAMP Summer Program

The FIRST CAMP Summer Program program starts the first full week after Decatur City School System is out and continues through the last full week of summer. Each week has a separate theme and families may sign up for one or all weeks of camp.  Most weeks will include a field trip and a visit to a local swimming pool. Themes have included The Great Outdoors, Under the Sea, and Getting to Know Atlanta. Children are required to bring their own lunch but will be provided a morning and afternoon snack. Enrollment is on a first come basis and tuition is due 7 days prior to the start of the camp.
