First Camp After-School, School Break and Summer Camp Program

A Licensed After-School Program at First Baptist Decatur

For over thirty years we have been committed to furnishing quality care for elementary-aged children in the Decatur area. Our goal is to provide the students in our care with a safe, healthy, and educational environment.

First Camp is licensed by Bright from the Start, an agency of the State of Georgia. First Camp is divided into two programs, “First Camp After-School” during the school year and “First Camp Summer” during the summer months.

About First Camp After-School

First Camp After-School Program serves the children of the Decatur City Schools. We drive vans to these schools and pick up students currently in Pre-K through 5th grade and bring them back to the Camp.

Once there, students are given a nutritious snack, have large muscle playtime, arts and crafts, science experiments, and homework time. There are options for enrichment classes at an additional cost.

Enrichment Classes include Dance, Soccer, Decatur Fine Arts Academy Classes, and Decatur Avondale Children’s Choir. Enrichment classes are available during First Camp After-School hours. First Camp After-School Enrollment is required for select enrichment classes. You will need to sign up separately for enrichment classes.

Registration is for the complete semester (Fall and Spring). Families have the option of sending their child 3-5 days to after-school camp. First Camp also holds full-day camps with field trips during the Decatur City break weeks.
